Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 10, 2026
1. Overview
NotifyMySchool.com (the “Site”) is owned and operated by Text Services, LLC (“Text Services,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Mississippi limited liability company. We are committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our Site at https://notifymyschool.com, use our messaging and notification services (collectively, the “Services”), or otherwise interact with us.
Our Site is used in two ways: by school administrators who manage accounts and contact lists on behalf of their school, and by parents and guardians who may sign themselves up directly to receive school notifications. This Privacy Policy applies to both types of users.
By accessing our Site or using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use our Site or Services.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to the personal information that our school customers process through our platform on behalf of their own students, parents, and staff. For privacy information regarding how a school uses your personal information, please contact that school directly.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide to Us
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you interact with us, including when you:
Contact us: name, school name, email address, phone number, and any message content you submit through our contact form or via email.
Create a school account: name, email address, phone number, school name, billing address, and account credentials.
Use our Services: contact lists you upload, message content you create, and other information necessary to provide our notification services.
Sign up as a parent or guardian: If your school offers the parent self-signup feature, you may provide your name, phone number, email address, and your association with a student at the school.
This feature is intended for use by parents and legal guardians only. By signing up, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of the student for whom you are registering.
Make a payment: billing information such as credit card number, expiration date, and billing address. Payment card data is processed by our third-party payment processor (Sage) and is not stored on our servers.

2.3 Cookies and Similar Technologies

Essential cookies: These are necessary for the Site to function properly, including session management and security features.

Providing Services: To operate, maintain, and deliver our notification platform and related services, including sending and receiving SMS/MMS messages and emails, and managing contact lists.

4. How We Share Your Information
Text Services, LLC is the sole owner of the information collected through our Site and Services. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
Service providers: We may share information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our business, such as payment processors (Sage), telecommunications carriers,
hosting providers, and email delivery services. These providers are contractually obligated to use your information only for the purposes of providing services to us.
Schools: If you sign up as a parent or guardian through the self-signup feature, your contact information will be shared with the school you selected so they can manage your notification preferences.
Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or other governmental or law enforcement request.
Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We will notify you of any such change by posting notice on our Site.
Protection of rights: We may disclose information where we believe it is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
5. Customer Data Protection
Our platform allows school customers to create, upload, and store contact lists including students, parents, and staff. This data remains the property of the customer. We do not rent, sell, loan, or otherwise share customer contact lists or message content with third parties, except as necessary to deliver our Services (such as transmitting messages through telecommunications carriers or email providers) or as required by law.
Upon account termination, customers may request a copy of their data. We will retain customer data for a reasonable period following termination to allow for data retrieval, after which it will be securely deleted unless retention is required by law.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, provide our Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. The specific retention period depends on the nature of the information and the purpose for which it was collected.
When personal information is no longer needed for these purposes, we will securely delete or anonymize it in accordance with our data retention practices.
7. Bot Protection
We use Google reCAPTCHA on our forms and login pages to protect against automated abuse and spam. This service may collect information including your IP address, browser type, and interaction patterns to determine whether you are a human visitor. This data is processed by Google as a data processor on our behalf in accordance with Google’s Cloud Data Processing Addendum.
8. Security
We take the security of your information seriously and employ industry-standard safeguards to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include: firewalls and network security controls; encryption of sensitive data (such as payment information) during transmission using SSL/TLS; secure server infrastructure; access controls limiting employee access to personal information on a need-to-know basis; and regular security assessments and monitoring.
While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you use our Site and Services at your own risk.
9. SMS and Email Communication Privacy
As a provider of school notification services, we take the privacy of all communication data seriously:
Message content: We transmit notifications on behalf of our school customers. Message content is stored as necessary to provide our Services and is not used for any purpose other than delivering the notification service.
Phone numbers and email addresses: Contact information provided by schools or entered directly by parents and guardians is used solely to deliver notifications as directed by the school. We do not use this information for our own marketing purposes.
SMS opt-out: Recipients may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. We process opt-out requests promptly and maintain opt-out records.
Email opt-out: Recipients may opt out of receiving email notifications at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in any email, or by contacting the school directly.
Carrier data: Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply when you interact with SMS notifications. Text Services is not responsible for carrier charges.
10. Third-Party Links
Our Site may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Text Services, LLC. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.
11. Children’s Privacy
Our Services are used by schools to communicate with students, parents, and staff. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13. The parent and guardian self-signup feature is intended for use by parents and legal guardians only — not students. By using the self-signup feature, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of the student for whom you are registering.
Contact information for students entered into our platform by school administrators is handled in accordance with applicable law, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). If you have questions about how student data is handled, please contact the school directly.
